Ranweli Nature Resort , Sri Lanka, hot and humid

we arrived on 10th but didn't see much till next day. Trip included boat excursions.

White-browed Fantail, Scarce. Reported by JD, PMS.

Asian Paradise-flycatcher. Reported by JD, PMS. common around the village and elsewhere. Nearly all the ones we saw Sri Lankan race t p ceylonensis, chestnut upperparts. I saw, but Janet did not, the very beautifiul Indian sub race t.p. paradisi, which is mostly pure white except for blue head - amazing seen in the bushes in the forest dim light in Sig sanctuary.on 15/2

staying at Blue Magpie. One whole day climbing to and walking in rain forest reserve. one day morning only jeep ride up to forest and shorter walk but found some birds missed on first day e.g. green billed cuckoo
