Ranweli Nature Resort , Sri Lanka, hot and humid

we arrived on 10th but didn't see much till next day. Trip included boat excursions.

Sri Lanka Swallow. Reported by JD, PMS. this is a race of red rumped swallow (according to book) or Lesser striated swallow according to this s/ware's taxonomy

White-browed Fantail, Scarce. Reported by JD, PMS.

Asian Paradise-flycatcher. Reported by JD, PMS. common around the village and elsewhere. Nearly all the ones we saw Sri Lankan race t p ceylonensis, chestnut upperparts. I saw, but Janet did not, the very beautifiul Indian sub race t.p. paradisi, which is mostly pure white except for blue head - amazing seen in the bushes in the forest dim light in Sig sanctuary.on 15/2
